When this service is useful
For buyers with a product requirement but no confirmed manufacturer. You can start with a drawing, sample or description; missing specifications are clarified before meaningful comparison.
Inputs to get started
- Product purpose and mandatory specifications.
- Expected quantity, order frequency and destination market.
- Packaging, marking and supporting-document requirements.
- Target timing, budget considerations and non-negotiable constraints.
How the work proceeds
Define the brief
Separate mandatory requirements from preferences and identify missing inputs.
Identify candidates
Seek applicable options and request information against the same brief.
Compare information
Distinguish supplier statements from supported findings and compare the scope of each offer.
Agree the next step
The buyer decides whether to request clarification, a sample, verification or production discussions.
Participant roles
RBW coordinates sourcing and information exchange. Manufacturers provide their information. The buyer approves criteria and decisions; specialist verification or testing requires an agreed scope.
Service boundaries
Sourcing is not a factory verification, legal opinion or guarantee of contract performance. A catalogue does not establish the conformity of a future batch. If only transport coordination is needed, start with logistics.
Before you start
Can we start without a complete drawing?
Yes, with a description. We first clarify measurable requirements; unknown parameters remain open questions.
Can you work with a custom specification?
Feasibility depends on the product. The published SPC case describes production of 8 mm panels for a US client; it does not establish availability for every custom product.
Is a factory visit included?
Its purpose, availability, provider and reporting are agreed separately. A candidate list does not imply that every factory has been visited.
How is the fee determined?
By product complexity, candidate availability, the clarification work and agreed deliverables. Terms follow review of the brief.
