When this service is useful
For projects with defined requirements and a production stage. If criteria are still unresolved, first clarify the specification.
Inputs to get started
- Current specification and approved changes.
- Production stage and available checkpoints.
- Decision criteria and agreed confirmation methods.
- Responsible contacts and a procedure for deviations.
How the work proceeds
Agree criteria
Define parameters, methods and the extent of checks.
Choose checkpoints
Discuss sample, intermediate or finished-product checks according to availability and scope.
Record observations
Keep requirements separate from observations. Missing data does not count as a positive finding.
Agree actions
Refer deviations to the responsible party for a decision on clarification, rework or further checking.
Participant roles
The buyer approves criteria and decisions. RBW coordinates checks and reporting. The manufacturer handles production and agreed corrections; specialist measurements follow the defined scope.
Service boundaries
Checks do not guarantee zero defects. Visual inspection does not replace testing or compliance assessment. Methods, sampling and tolerances must be agreed for the task.
Before you start
When should checks be arranged?
Before the decision they need to support. Criteria and access should be agreed in advance.
Can a custom parameter be checked?
First establish the requirement and an available method. Without an agreed method, the parameter remains unverified.
Who decides on the batch?
The authorised buyer representative under the contract and agreed procedure. The report supports that decision.
What happens after a deviation?
The observation is recorded, referred to the responsible party and followed by an agreed action.
